Short, and written to be read. Using the site means accepting these.

The service

PDF Zone 24 provides free tools for working with PDF files. The tools run inside your browser on your own device. There is no account, no charge, and no limit on ordinary use.

Your files are your responsibility

Because processing happens on your device, we never hold a copy of anything you work on. That has an important consequence: if something goes wrong — a browser crash, a closed tab, a mistaken edit — we cannot recover your document, because we never had it.

Keep your original file until you have checked the result. This matters most for operations that remove things permanently, such as redaction, deleting pages, or removing a password.

Acceptable use

Use the tools on documents you own or are authorised to work with. In particular:

• Do not use the password tools to access documents you are not entitled to open.
• Do not use the site to infringe anyone's copyright or other rights.
• Do not attempt to disrupt the site or the people using it.

The unlock tool needs to be able to read a file in order to rewrite it, so it cannot open a document you do not already have access to. That is a deliberate limitation.

No warranty

The tools are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind. We work to keep them correct and take bug reports seriously, but we cannot guarantee that every tool will produce the result you expect on every file. PDF is a large and inconsistently implemented format, and some documents are genuinely malformed.

Nothing on this site is legal advice. Pages discussing electronic signatures, redaction or document retention describe common practice and are not a substitute for advice on your own situation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, PDF Zone 24 is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the site, including lost or corrupted documents. Since the service is free and your files never reach us, please keep your originals.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Advertising and third parties

The site carries advertising and uses analytics, both provided by Google. What they collect is set out in the privacy policy. Links to other sites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.

Changes
